Health and Safety is an integral and fundamental part of Durman Stearn’s business. We are committed to continually improving our quality, safety, health and environmental performance and to achieving higher levels of awareness among our management, workforce, suppliers and subcontractors. This often includes on-site ‘Toolbox Talks’ from our foreman to their direct reports.

The Directors and Managers are responsible for ensuring that all our employees understand and fulfil Quality Safety Health and Environmental Management System requirements. We recognise the duties placed upon us, to preserve and protect the safety, health and environment of all our employees, other persons, sectors of the public and the public in general.

We recognise that a well trained and motivated workforce, possessing the appropriate skills and knowledge is essential to the business needs and future success of our company. Our aim is to support and develop each individual employee enabling them to carry out their role both safely and efficiently, and to fulfil their own potential.

This investment in the workforce has allowed us to retain a loyal and experienced team, operating with many years of continued service. We have an ongoing training programme to health and safety and CITB requirements enabling our staff to further their skills and improve their knowledge in all aspects of construction.
